The Level 3 Diploma In Pre U Foundation Studies is designed specifically for applicants wishing to enter the 1st year of a Bachelor’s degree at SIMI Switzerland. Unlike PUS’s Level 3 Diploma in Business and Management pre-university program, the Level 3 Diploma In Pre U Foundation Studies pre-university program does not require students to major in Business Administration from the beginning and with Level 3 PreU degree, students can choose any major at university level.
Because it is a general university preparatory program Level 3 PreU includes 120 credits with 6 subjects including 3 compulsory subjects and 3 optional subjects. The program is implemented according to the Hyrid Learning model combining online learning and teaching assistants.
Upon graduation, students receive 2 pre-university degrees from the UK and Switzerland. It is possible to enter directly into 1st year undergraduate programs of SIMI Switzerland or universities around the world.
Recognition and Accreditation
Level 3 Diploma In PreUniversity Foundation Studies is a dual degree program, receiving 2 independent international pre-university degrees from the UK and Switzerland. The program is a collaboration between the UK national diploma examination system LRN and the Swiss SIMI. Both institutions pass both institutional and programmatic accreditations.
- SIMI Swiss is accredited by ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, University and Colleges) at the highest level of Premier Institute and the program is accredited by OTHM, ATHE, Qualifi, LRN, British national regulated diploma, accredited by Ofqual.

Dual Degree
After graduating, students receive 2 international pre-university degrees:
- SIMI Swiss Level 3 Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies of Switzerland (Accredited by ASIC)
- LRN Level 3 Diploma In PreU Foundation Studies (Accredited Ofqual UK.Gov)
Entry Requirements
Candidates should have:
- At least 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (may need to be in specific subjects),
- Level 2/First Diploma (in a relevant subject with merit or distinction)
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Level 2 qualification, or relevant experience (for mature applicants).
Candidates should also have a speaking, listening, reading and writing ability which is commensurate to CEFR Level B1 (or equivalent). This is to ensure they meet the communication requirements for this qualification.
